Low carb diets are basically planned dietary meals for those who wish to reduce and overcome the problem of obesity. The intake of carbohydrates is limited in the low carb diet for weight loss and only the intake of non-greasy and non-fattening food is allowed. Some people opt for low carb diets in order to lose weight as well as treating some conditions like diabetes, epilepsy, ketosis also known as chronic fatigue symptoms, and polycystic ovarian symptoms. The biggest advantage of low carb diet is that, it helps you lose weight easily and rapidly instead of waiting for months. Low carb diet, although low on fats and carbohydrates, yet they are rich in nutrition that are required by body.
Carbohydrates is found in many of the food like dairy products, grains, fruits, vegetables, pulses, legumes (beans and pulses) etc. Also, many of the sweet things like sugar and chocolates also have carbs. However, when going for a low carb diet the main focus is put on meat, poultry, eggs, fish and other non-oily products. The daily intake of carbs when going for a low carb diet is limited to 50 to 150 grams of carbohydrate.
Carbohydrate should however be included in diet as it is said to be the most preferred source of energy and if the consumption is below the level of body requirements or if it is stopped, then the functioning and working of the body can be hindered. Weight loss can also be met if the carbohydrate level is kept on low.

The best way to lose weight is to involve in lots of exercises (which also include jogging, crunches, workouts) and to opt for a low carb diet without any doubt. Low carb diet has many benefits, apart form easy weight loss. Low carb diet improves our triglycerides and also effectively lowers the glucose level in blood which is very beneficial for diabetics’ patients and also for pre-diabetics. It also increases and accelerates the good cholesterol in body, known as HDL, and is said to work really well in improving insulin sensitivity. Adapting a low carb diet also also helps to lower down the blood pressure level as the good cholesterol is increased and it is positive for the patients who have high blood pressure.
A person who has switched on to low carb diet also stop experiencing feelings like compulsive eating and therefore it is good for the person in long run.
